Would You Rather…

I saw this first on Jesse the Readers Youtube Channel and since I’m an absolute sucker for the Buzzfeed quizzes anyway I thought I’d do it as well. So below the my answers to the Hardest Game of Would You Rather- For Book Nerds

Would you rather have a friend who dog ears your books or loses them?

Yeah. I don’t really care about dog-earring my books. I’d rather they not but… Also I think any friend who lost my book would follow that up with, “Here’s the new one…” so either or on this one!

Would you rather secretly love a book everyone hates or hate a book that everyone loves?

Again, I have to say I could go either way. Although generally speaking I’m less inclined to love books with a lot of hype around them.

Would you rather take a long plane ride without a book or a long train ride?

Train. This is me about two minutes after a train ride starts…

But I’m incapable of sleep on a plane though they do have movies and other stuff to fall back on.

Would you rather have dinner with your favorite author or favorite characters?

Definitely character. I have a million of both but I get way tongue tied whenever I’m intimidated and I would be. It would probably be the most awkward and silent dinner any author ever had.

Or if it was Martin I’d hold the food hostage until he at least tells me what happens to Jaime and Brienne and you know who…

Would you rather date a character you’ve had a crush on or a crush in real life?

This is sad but I’d probably go with a character. Since real life generally falls shorts of the expectations they help set they can deal with me!

Would you rather have your favorite book turned into a movie or movie turned into a book?

Book to movie. Definitely. I actually like adaptations for the most part and the other way around, I guess I don’t see the point, though it’s fun to compare what gets left out of the novelization sometimes.

Would you rather read a book with an annoying cliffhanger or with your favorite character getting killed off?

I’ve read both. In the same book. But I’d definitely prefer annoying cliffhanger.

Would you rather lose the ability to read new books or the ability to reread books you’ve already read?

Ouch. I guess I would have to give up Harry Potter (though the movies are available) I just don’t think I could give up new books!

Would you rather live in a library or a bookstore?

Bookstore. I mean most of them these days have coffee shops attached so I’d have food and drink readily available.

Would you rather lose your place in a book or get a paper cut every time you read?

Lose my place. This really isn’t that hard of a question!

Would you rather always read in the dark or always read books with tiny text?

I’m going to have to go with the tiny text here. I suppose I can read on my Kindle in the dark but I like physical books as well so tiny text would have to be it.

Would you rather read by a fireplace or on the beach?

Fireplace. Although when I lived in my old place I would get up early especially during winter months (or what passes for winter in SoCal) and the beach was always pleasant and peaceful then. But beach proper days I’d be way to distracted.
