Books & Cookies! And One Late Tag…

jack-jack loves cookies

Once upon a time wonderful blogger Kelly from Just Another Book in the Wall tagged me in the Cookie Book tag and I immediately thought… cookies and books! Yes! Then I was cursed with procrastination, forgetfulness and a general ability to lose my Blogging Notebook like everywhere and now eons later (at least months) I’m doing the tag!

I’m also a (cheap) cookie connoisseur so am including below the 5 greatest cookies of all time.

Chocolate Chip: A Classic that you love or enjoy?

anne of green gables

It was between Anne of Green Gables or Crime & Punishment and quiet frankly Anne just seems more like a chocolate chip cookie book.

Thin Mints: a fandom you want to join or a hyped book you really want to read?

We would be here all day if I had to list the hyped books I want to read so I’m going to combine both a fandom and a hyped book and say… I’m ready to join the Nikolai fandom.

King of Scars

5. Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Breakaways

Okay, okay. This is easy I mean I don’t even have to make the dough. But I like my chocolate chips a very specific way… soft, warm and gooey and controlling that myself is always easy. Although more often than not I wind up with burnt, crunchy and hard. Still when I get them right? Perfection.

4. Keebler Fudge Shop Fudged Striped Cookies

I have a love/hate relationship with these cookies. Mainly that I can never stop eating them!

Shortbread: An author you can’t get enough of…

Emma Mills, Nikita Gill, Matt Haig, Leigh Bardugo, Courtney Summers! There’s a lot really but I’m often not good with authors. They click after the fact and I’m like oh, I really read a lot of them!

double dark chocolate milano

3. Double Dark Chocolate Milano

There’s a Milano flavor for every mood you could possibly be in and I like a good 95% of them but my all time favorite is the double dark chocolate. You can feel the double dose here I swear!

Samoas/ Caramel Delites: An emotional roller coaster or a book that made you feel more than one emotion!

A Storm of Swords

I can’t help it! This will probably long be the biggest roller coaster for me!

Oreos: a book whose cover was better than the story or vice versa…

Cover beautiful Story Eh…

the surface breaks

The Surface Breaks- I think this might be the most beautiful cover I own.

Story Great Cover- What the Hell?

honor among thieves

2. Mrs. Fields Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip

I don’t know if this is a seasonal thing or I’m just unlucky in my Mrs. Fields but oh, I loved these cookies when I used to work at the mall I would hit up Mrs. Fields after three every day for their deals and these cookies were my cookie drug of choice. Generally though I do like peanut butter and chocolate anything so maybe it was destiny.

Tagalongs/ Peanut Butter Patties a book that wasn’t what you expected…

I’m going to go with in a good way on this one and say:

the seven husbands of evelyn hugo

Mostly because I was convinced absolutely sure I knew what the be twist/ending was going to be. (There really wasn’t even a big twist.) But I was utterly convinced nonetheless and it wasn’t what I expected but so much better.

Number One Favorite Cookie

1. Tagalongs

I am crazy about these. Once I ordered from a co-workers daughter and the woman actually said, “That’s a lot. You sure?” Yeah.  I even remember to buy other people’s favorites so they stay the hell away from my Tagalongs. I’m that serious. And really by now they know better 🙂

Snickerdoodles: A book you may never stop reading and loving:

Harry Potter

I mean the whole series of course. I swear I tried to think of something else but this is the honest truth. I also love snickerdoodles. Yum. Now I want to go buy cookies and read Harry Potter.

Anyway since it’s taken me forever (sorry) I tag anyone that loves cookies!

    1. Yeah, I can’t eat them like I used to 🙂 The store by my old house used to have these incredible gluten free sugar free chocolate chips but haven’t seen them anywhere else.

  1. I forgot how many different kinds of cookies I like til I read this post lol. Peanut butter and chocolate- yeah. Not only Mrs Fields, but even ice cream. Baskin Robbins peanut butter & chocolate might be my favorite thing of anything. Okay- books. Yeah Storm of Swords- that’s an emotional roller coaster for sure, good grief that book…

  2. Oh my goodness, this is the best tag! And Tagalongs are your favorite too?! They’ve been my favorite since I was a brownie scout at 7 years old. I normally like to share, but there’s so few in the box, no one can have any. Nope. There is something magical about them! I recently got a spin-off book Marilla of Green Gables! Have you seen that one? Huge Anne fan. ♥️

    1. Tagalongs are the greatest! Once I was in line behind a woman who bought a ton and I must have made a face or something because the mother stopped to tell me, “We got plenty hun don’t worry about it.” I haven’t read any of the Anne spin-offs yet but I plan to. It was kind of sad when I realized how quickly she grew up!

  3. I can say from what I’ve experienced from the show that it really is an emotional rollercoaster. I still have to find out about the books! I think Harry Potter comes to mind instantly when you think about a book you’re going to read forever. For me, Macbeth and The Picture of Dorian Gray also make that list! <3
