Although these skills are completely transferrable too many areas of life.
Believe your own excuses.
Like if you tell yourself you have writer’s block (or whatever) long enough and loudly enough then you will believe it. I mean lots of people make excuses but only those that truly believe them will find peace.
Time management.
Spend more time attempting to manage your time so that you have the time to get shit done that it becomes a thing all on its own and completely eats into your time actually doing shit.
Never settle for just one project when you could be doing all of them!
The great Ron Swanson once said, “Never half-ass two things, whole ass one-thing…” But sometimes when you do whole ass one thing and fail miserably it hurts even more so half-assing several things is a built in way to save yourself the pain.
Read lots of books & watch lots of films.
I mean it’s big time writing advice that if you want to be a good writer you have to know and recognize good writing i.e. read a lot. I also want to write scripts hence it’s important to watch a lot of films and television shows to see what works and what doesn’t.
At least that’s what I tell myself.
And boy am I good at it.
Accept procrastination as a skill.
They do say if you want to be really good at something you have to practice for like 10,000 hours. (Hopefully it’s something that you love because what they don’t say is how to make a career or a success out of those 10,000 hours.)
But hey accept your strengths right? And I don’t see why procrastination should be any different. And hey, there’s always next year!

Oh gosh, writing as many projects as you can to distract you from actually editing the other projects because if it’s not perfect the first time, it just must mean it was a bad idea. 😔
