It is a universally known truth that the more I proofread a post (and I swear I do!) the higher likelihood of immediately finding an obvious error after its published!
A couple of days (or was it weeks ago now?) WordPress sent an email about proofreading and I followed it up not just with a big error but a big error in the headline!
When I started the blog I wanted to keep it just like I was talking to friends about books, films and things that I love! I’ve been told that when I really get going I have just as many errors and am often confusing so…

And yes I know that I use entirely too many exclamation points. I confess I did try to limit myself once on that but what is life without exclamation points and smily faces?
I’m also sure that there’s some conspiracy against my comments on somedays. It’s like WordPress just picks random days and is like nope! You’re comment is not going through today! Nope. Try again. Also can’t subscribe. See you tomorrow sucker!
Is there some comment magic I’m missing for some websites? Is it maybe a theme thing? I don’t know. I have a lot of frustrations right now so writing a nice long comment about someone’s post only to get told it’s not accepted cause I’m a bot is just an added annoyance.
Perhaps I should look at it as a deeper life question.

The more you right the easier it gets. I usually write and the step away. I find errors but here’s a surprise we are not perfect. I have read a book and seen errors in it. Ok this is very rare.
WordPress is notorious for comments problems that’s why I never moved there, no one really knows what is happening with that but it’s essential to check spam folder often 🙂
There is one blog in particular that I follow, that I can’t reply to their comments in my reader, I have to go directly to their site to do it. It’s so weird, and it’s always been that way, so I just accept it, but I must confess it means i leave her less comments than I would hope to because it’s just to annoying to navigate back to her website each time! Ugh now I sound lazy…

Sorry to hear you’re having so many problems with WordPress, especially the comments. Funnily enough I just signed up there to start a different blog, so I guess that’s a good thing to know. lol I had a big error on my blog for a few weeks before I noticed it, and by that point, I could only laugh it off before editing. Writing is all about expressing ourselves. Hope you never stop using exclamation points and smiley emojis!
Was it an old Twilight Zone with the “We’re all bots” theme? I just remember this guy kept figuring out more and more people in town were bots. He plotted escape with his girlfriend but she was a bot too. So he sped off in his car to get out of town. Of course, he went too fast and crashed, and his gaping wounds revealed all the little gears and wires inside his own bot body. That’s how I remember it, anyway 🙂

Oh, hello, are you me? lol I’m ashamed to admit that I always find that glaring, neon-bright typo even if I sleep on the post and do my best to proofread. At this point, I don’t even bother anymore!
At least I’m in good company!
I think WordPress has a 10 likes/comments limit per hour which means that if you go over the limit, you’re placed in the spam folder lol!
Oh I never even thought of that! I’ll definitely be more careful!
