Fall’s Upcoming Goodies

Summer is finally over!

I mean I’m trying to think on the bright side here in California as temps are still off the charts and movie theaters around me are still closed as well as the many other disasters my state (and life) is currently going through.

At least we still have entertainment and there’s some good stuff coming even without cinemas.

The awesome Anya Taylor-Joy has a series called The Queen’s Gambit coming to Netflix on October 23rd and this looks actually really good and like it might finally be a big role for her!

Baby Yoda

Baby Yoda and Dad Mando are also now officially confirmed to returned and save us from this awful broken year on October 30th! The show also got a new title card which I really love (he’s with Mando!) I’d expect a trailer soon.

(Also Dune trailer should be dropping on the 9th! Hopefully they’ll be plenty of Oscar Isaac and his beard for me to salivate over.)

There’s been some good early word on Enola Holmes (on Netflix September 23rd) I actually read the first book in this series which the film is based on, The Case of the Missing Marquess, and really enjoyed it. So I’m even more looking forward to the film. Though I am kind of bummed the films not for 2 more weeks and everyone’s already reviewing.

And if you can’t spend Fall in Paris (I can’t!) and want some fashion, Gossip Girl throwback vibes Lily Collins new series Emily in Paris will be on Netflix on October 2nd. I honestly plan to check this out just for the clothes and the Paris 🙂

But hopefully it will be enjoyable as well!

And because I’m spending too much time on Netflix here freaking Funko is pulling me back in:

I probably won’t be able to stop myself from getting Starlight and Homelander although we need like a Pop Scene! of Homelander and Maeve on the airplane from Season one!

Apparently no less than 11 Wandavision Pops are coming to (probably before we even get a confirmed show date) I’m just hoping for one in the red costume! And I’ve been so good about buying figures recently 🙂

And CBS All Access has provided a teaser for The Stand which will debut in December:

I’m a little torn on this one still but I do think Alexander Skarsgard as Randall Flagg actually looks better in the teaser than he did in some of the early stills I saw so there’s some good there.

While I’m not sure how many people are going to be down for this of all times this year I’m a little bummed its starting after the plague (and doing flashbacks) the unrolling of that and the downfall of society was the best part of the book.

On that happy note…

I hope everyone has a happy and enjoyable Fall or Spring wherever you are!

  1. Definitely some good things to look froward to. The Mandalorian is of course the thing I’m looking forward to the most, but Enola Holmes is looking great too.
The Stand I’m not too sure about yet, but then again I can’t watch it anyway so there is that lol😂

  2. I’m definitely intrigued by a few of these listed here! When Anya Taylor-Joy is there that gets my attention. The Queen’s Gambit and Enola Holmes stand out to me here!

      1. Hm I guess it is hard to gauge those things 🙂 It’s hard to even tell how well Emma did in the states since it was streaming. All I know is most people generally have no idea who I’m talking about when I bring her up. Young Furiousa could do it for her if that movie happens.

  3. I remember there was a tweet that went viral about the og Emily (devil wears prada) that went viral. Honestly, it makes me want to see a Devil Wears Prada sequel. But, in the meantime, I’m waiting for the release of Legally Blonde 3!

    1. Did you catch the Legally Blonde reunion? It was fun to see even if there’s been so many of those cast reunions recently they all started to run together 🙂 They had a great cast specifically.

      1. I’ve not heard once that there even was a legally blonde reunion! I really liked Emmett, would love to see if he is as wonderful as his character.
