Not only are these the 6 upcoming movies I’m most anticipating I think these will all be 5 star films. Obviously! I’m anticipating them after all. I’d definitely say that’s hoping for the best! Plus I’m having a pretty good run of films right now (knock on wood) so I’m even more optimistic!
Don’t Worry Darling- September 23rd
This seems to be the kind of weird shit that I love. Plus great cast. Looks beautifully shot. And superficially its wildly talented attractive people, a mystery and bonus hot sexy times.
Wakanda Forever- November 11th
One of the best teasers I’ve seen for a movie in years.
Wakanda Forever has a whole lot going on and a whole lot to live up to. I want to see how they manage it and honestly after seeing the trailer I think they can. Namor looks great. I was worried about the special effects but so far it does look better than I thought. Plus Winston Duke… so of course I’m going to be there!
The Menu- November 18th
Why are there so many previews for this right now if it’s not out until November?
I’m a simple girl. I see Anya. I know I’m going to a movie. But The Menu has a fantastic cast. It looks like it’s going to be absolutely wild. I think it’s a hunt/eat the rich movie. (There seems to be a lot of cannibalism stuff recently right?) I don’t know much else about this one but like Don’t Worry Darling… but I want to go into this without knowing much else.
I think it will be more fun that way!
Three Thousand Years of Longing- August 26th
A movie about a woman who frees a djinn and gets 3 wishes. I love the whole idea!
I don’t know a great deal about this one either except it’s Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton. More importantly, for me, it’s George Miller. After Mad Max Fury Road I told myself I’d go see absolutely anything he put out.
This does not look like it will disappoint me!
See How They Run- September 30th
This one also has a great cast of actors that I really love (hello Sam Rockwell) but the trailer was still kind of a surprise.
It looks like a nice little mystery. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ronan in what looks like a purely comedic role. Plus it’s silly but I love the ‘overrated’ playwright line in the trailer. So this seems like a really fun movie to get us into Fall.
Blonde- September 23rd
I have really mixed feelings about Blonde. But I’ve been waiting for this one for a while and I can’t deny I was even tearing up in the preview.
That being said I could also hear the accent at times. I’m hoping it doesn’t bother me once the movie is going in full force. I think the performance looks incredible otherwise.
Also after rereading the book this is based on and the NC17 rating… I have some concerns. Still I am hopeful and I think this could really be amazing!
