Farewell February: T’Challa, Endless Books & Nostalgia Watching

february wrap-up

So February went pretty quick, huh? Overall it was a good month. I was able to visit friends and family and I read… a lot again. Black Panther came out and broke a ton of records. Fergie’s whole National Anthem thing was worth a laugh on-line. I think the Super Bowl happened. I don’t really pay attention. 🙂

“Believing in yourself is your magic.”

I really haven’t had much luck or interest in many tv series this year. But I found Little Witch Academy and just speed through the whole thing in like a week and a half. Which is really good for me. I found it on Netflix. It’s the story of a young girl called Akko, who goes off to a witch academy but she’s not that great at being a witch.

Thoughts on Comic-Con Trailers

Stranger Things 2

Stranger Things Season 2 may very well be my favorite trailer out of comic-con. I love those kids. The use of Thriller was just awesome. I’m in love with the Halloween atmosphere. I mean I was super-psyched after the Super Bowl Tease. I just can’t decide whether I’m going to binge this one or try to spread it out and savor it when it finally drops.

Halloween in Hawkins
I am so ready for Fall.

My number two would have to be:

Westworld

Westworld

Starring: Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Evan Rachel Wood & Ed Harris

Grade: A

Between Westworld and Stranger Things I’m two for two with new television shows this year. I was never going to bother with HBO again, still smarting over the adaptation choices to Game of Thrones, but then they put out this little number about a Western themed park where guests can pay a ton of money to go live out their fantasies. A real live game of sorts with the very human like “hosts” robots to whom the guests can do what they please both good and bad and don’t have to worry about being hurt in return.
