So I found it interesting that at the end of the Cruella trailer they slammed down that date in very big font. Now I grant you that can change but we are pretty close here and it seems like Disney could have left it as up in the air as everything else.
Ever since Monica talked about an astro-physicist friend who could get her back into the Hex we’ve been left to wonder. Since it was dropped in again last week and we’ll likely have an answer this week I’m starting to convince myself that it could be Reed Richards or someone from the Fantastic Four.
I love the idea of telling stories of the women of antiquity and specifically the women of The Trojan War has become a popular topic recently so I jumped at the chance to pick up A Thousand Ships.
Overall it’s a good book. I enjoyed it I just find myself almost bummed (don’t know if that’s the right word) that the women who stand out so brightly in this book are the ones with the stories that always have.
The new Sarah J. Maas book is getting released this week and I’m both scared and shockingly looking forward to it. I mean if any book is going to break the cycle of Eh books I’ve been on it will be this one.
See I don’t need to love a book at this point I just want to feel something other than, “Well that was a book.”
I may only just beginning my Sanderson deep dive but even I know talking about how great he is at the magic is not exactly a hot take. But despite some trepidation about this book I was intrigued by the magic mystery more than enough to forgive its flaws.
Spoilers for Wandavision and Spiderman actually below! Along with some way off based theaters and why we should all live our alt-reality lives once in a while. Minus the mind-controlled neighbors of course.
Meet Cassie Bowden: She drinks and makes terrible decisions and then she drinks some more to help her get through her terrible decisions. And I have to say I think Kaley Cuoco was perfect for this role because in other hands she might be maddening but I actually… love her.
Okay anything alien related or even just weird and out there and I am in right now. So I had to watch The Vast of Night about a switchboard operator and DJ in small town New Mexico who pick up some strange noises and stumble upon a possible conspiracy.
As much as I enjoyed Jame’s white board of audience questions (and him and Darcy being our stand-in’s) to me the humor missed one very important question I think anyone in universe would have…
I have been trying to write a review of Promising Young Woman for a week. I ended up loving the film (to be honest it was one of my most anticipated so perhaps that’s not a surprise) but not only did it leave me crying it left me really questioning what I had wanted out of it to begin with and why.
So the first part is going to be spoiler free but I do have to talk about spoilers. I need to purge my thoughts on this one and why I think it works exactly as intended to but understand why people feel differently.
