Superhero Questions & Aqua-thoughts that Have Been Bugging Me

Mera in Aquaman

So after seeing Captain Marvel, rewatching Aquaman and generally having insomnia right now I made a list of some of the superhero movie thoughts and questions that have been bugging me. Not just why doesn’t Mera take control of Atlantis cause she’s certainly powerful and smarter than Orm…

I Don’t Need Much…

jason momoa as aquaman

On Tuesday, actually sometime Monday night I suppose, I’m going to own Aquaman. Then I will be able to study it in all its glory. Essays. Dissertations. Or I’ll probably just endlessly watch it. Also Tuesday Taylor Jenkins Reid’s new book Daisy Jones and the Six will be released and I am ready!

So all in all it should be a good entertainment week. And Captain Marvel!

All my 2018 Films in One Sentence Each

venom close up

I’ve seen people do flashback sort of posts where they talk about every book they’ve read in a year and try to summarize each in one sentence.

I thought I’d do it for all the 2018 releases I saw in theaters just to see if I could actually manage. Probably not… I tend to be wordy. But here goes… Also since I haven’t seen all the films I’ve wanted yet I don’t feel like I can do a best list but I’m marking the ones I would put on it!

Merry Christmas!

holidays in the desert

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house the only creature stirring was the Bookworm and the dogs who waited until now to want out…

The stockings hung, the bookshelves dusted, she doesn’t really know this story and is wondering whether Krampus or Bird Box is a good Christmas Eve movie. Also she might need to look up what sugar plums actually are so let’s just say tucked into bed visions of Aquaman will likely dance in her head!

But the whole point is Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! And to everyone I wish you and yours the best 🙂

Murderbots, Princesses & Aquaman is Coming! November Wrap-Up

robolights house

November has come and gone and it was a pretty nice month. We had our annual Thanksgiving visit to Robolights house in Palm Springs where I- who endless complains about the hot weather and would move anywhere else- complained endlessly how cold I was.

December is here and the Aquaman press is already in full swing. Plus Venom will be streaming on the 11th. So it will be a very beautiful month entertainment wise.

So this weeks Top 5 Wednesday Topic is the Top 5 Characters You’d Invite for Friendsgiving and this really depends on what kind of Friendsgiving do you want to have.

End of the Year Plans Tag!

the end of year reading tag

Okay, so technically it’s a little early for Christmas- though that and the end of the year are approaching at the speed of holiday shopping. So I thought I’d do the End of Year Tag originally created by Ariel Bisette  over on Youtube.

It’s technically for books but I’m a tag rule bender so I’m adding movies to…

After watching Doctor Who since 9 (Christopher Eccleston) and giving up sometime around the birth of Clara- who annoyed the hell out of me- it was so much fun to check out the new series and really enjoy it this Sunday!

My Weird (Possibly Deadly) Dinner Party List

The Dinner List

The Dinner List

By: Rebecca Serle

Grade: C

I picked up The Dinner List from Book of the Month. The story is about a girl whose birthday dinner actually becomes a living answer to that whole make a list of the 5 People You’d Most Want to Dine with. Audrey Hepburn included.

Honestly, the book was okay. Pretty meh. It’s got a love story and says some nice things about life and loss by the end. But I was just hoping for so much more. It does however give me a perfect excuse to the The Dinner Party Tag! Which I naturally couldn’t keep just literary.
