First day of October does seem like a bang up time to do the <a href=”http://<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/FnIXG6DqI1E” frameborder=”0″ allow=”accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture” allowfullscreen>Cozy Fall Book Tag. It was created by The Book Belle over on Youtube and is a nice mix of celebrating my favorite time of year (besides Christmas) and books!
I’m generally using lockdown time to work my way through my backlist books so I thought I’d recommend some great fun reads that I think are wildly under hyped for everyone to, hopefully, enjoy!
The why miss people edition 🙂
Occasionally you read a book that makes you think boy people suck. No shade on the book it’s actually good just the characters in it. I thought of a few first rate reads with characters that still might make social-isolation just a little bit more bearable.
My original idea for this list was Books to Read when you have a Migraine but then I just expanded it to whenever you’re any kind of sick lying around in bed and want to think about something other than how shitty everything is but also don’t want to pick up the latest 700 page tome.
These are quick (mostly) fun reads!
I’m a very mood/seasonal reader. So around this time of year I’m definitely on the hunt for scary dark books, thrillers, creepy weird stuff you wouldn’t normally find me reading in the dog days of Summer. I recently did a TBR of what I want to read this spooky season I thought I’d offer some good book recommendations of things I already read and loved!
Getting it in under the wire again for Aries!
I use the horoscope and information at Elle On-Line and whether you believe this stuff or not it’s all in good fun for some book and film recommendations.
Maybe anti-romantic is a little harsh. Not romantically inclined? Like a little bit of darkness in your love story (or a lot) such as it were? With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I thought I’d offer some ideas for books that have just the right amount to appeal to the person who likes a certain kind of love story.
I’ve been getting into star charts and astrology, tarot cards and the like the past couple of months. What you believe in or want to take from that sort of thing is personal. I enjoy it and in some ways it helps me concentrate.
So I thought I would look at the different signs, as the year goes, and do book recommendations based on the traits of the sign. Capricorn runs from December 22-Jan 19th so I’m a little late but not to bad!
This tag was originally created over on Youtube by Zarriah Rose & I have actually managed to do some seasonal recommendations for Winter and Spring. There’s a couple of good days left of summer (actually more but I’m of the once past Labor Day and back in school it’s officially over.)
Below are some fun recommendations for books I read this summer! But are good any old time of year.
