House of the Dragon Straight to Series

So we’re definitely getting House of the Dragon which is the Targaryen prequel to Game of Thrones that has been talked about for a while. If you’ve read Fire and Blood or know anything about the history… well the family is a mess but quiet honestly more interesting than these two screw-ups so I’m excited!

It also means lets all find our favorite blondes and start fan-casting!

The Good & the Bad of Fire & Blood

Grade: B+

You got to love him. Only Martin could drop a 700 page history of the Targaryens (instead of the book we all want) and then only get to the halfway point of the history! And a vast amount of that is the previously published Dance of Dragons history. Er… I can’t even be angry because it’s Westeros. It’s dragons. I ate it up.

Fire & Blood is also very Martin in both good and bad ways.

I am in a very list making mood these days. I did one for people who want to try Science-Fiction and then was working on movies got to Clueless (which is of course a timeless Emma retelling) and thought… Retellings. The Best Ones I’d Recommend for People who want to give them a go!

FYI while this is about books I’d still totally recommend Clueless and 10 Things I Hate About You (a Taming of the Shrew retelling.) Both classics of my youth!
