I admit it’s a bit hard to do a happy looking forward when the news seems either in flux or just plain bad. And that’s not even taking into account the disastrous real world news these days. In the first bit of (unsurprising news) I will not be spending this Christmas with Oscar and Jason.
Movie land has been rife with stories that Tom Hardy is a done deal for the next James Bond which seems somehow like it’s both a great and weird and unimaginative choice at the same time I can’t reconcile that one in my head yet.
So there are rumors now that Wonder Woman 1984 is going to be pushed to December pushing Dune into 2021 and I have some thoughts about that one. There’s also been mention of Black Widow being pushed but that doesn’t seem nearly as loud rumor wise yet.
Disney released a new New Mutants trailer today! And while it could mean nothing with movie dates still so up in the air and this one long delayed I have to admit I’m feeling a little hopeful…
So Margot Robbie is getting involved with the Pirates franchise which seemed like a good start to a July 4th edition of Looking Forward… (hm I made it editions now which usually calls for consistency so we’ll see how that goes!)
First up in things to look forward to Horrorstor is getting a feature film adaption I really enjoyed the book. It was nicely creepy and a lot of fun. Might scare you off Ikea and big warehouse stores for a while but I’m hopeful for the movie!
Well unsurprisingly (I was still hoping at least) Black Widow has been pulled from May 1st. I’m guess the Wonder Woman 1984 announcement comes next. I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m pretty much done with 2020.
