It’s pretty impressive that a two and a half hour movie about an event I know the outcome of can hold my attention these days. (Or anything over two hours honestly.) But Thirteen Lives managed to do just that.
100% honesty all I wanted from Red Notice was a fun escapist movie and I’m happy to say that’s exactly what I got. It’s a very old school 90’s kind of action adventure film that’s on Netflix and I mean don’t expect greatness but it’s an enjoyable watch.
There’s something about Matt Smith where he just seems like yeah he could be a nice guy or he could be completely sinister it’s a character toss up. Ever since I watched this movie I’ve had a hard time remembering it’s name. Which probably says a lot about the film right there. I actually think the biggest problem with the movie is that it has the wrong lead. No offense to Hugh Jackman and company they were fine.
I would not have expected 90 minutes about a woman stuck in a cryogenic pod and fast running out of air to be the first new movie to hold my attention throughout for a while. But here we are.
