farewell to fall tag & recommendations!

farewell to fall

It’s Fall for a few more days right? And I’ve done this tag for every season this year so since blogging is one of the few things I’m consistent on I wanted to keep going! You can find the link to Zarriah Rose (original creator) and recommendations for: Winter, Spring, & Summer

Murderbots, Princesses & Aquaman is Coming! November Wrap-Up

robolights house

November has come and gone and it was a pretty nice month. We had our annual Thanksgiving visit to Robolights house in Palm Springs where I- who endless complains about the hot weather and would move anywhere else- complained endlessly how cold I was.

December is here and the Aquaman press is already in full swing. Plus Venom will be streaming on the 11th. So it will be a very beautiful month entertainment wise.

Daredevil vs. Kingpin

daredevil season three

 Daredevil Season3

Grade: A

Daredevil Season Three will likely go down as the quickest I’ve ever binge watched anything. Four days. I couldn’t stop. It was, for me, the very definition of addictive.

5 Ideas for The Walking Dead Films

the walking dead

So as the news has come out about several Walking Dead movies being planned I thought I’d help them out with these (somewhat) serious ideas for movies I’d actually like to see and also why AMC won’t do any of them.

FYI this is mainly about one particular character whose fate has been all over the news recently but if you don’t want to be spoiled consider yourself warned.

The Drinking Scene I Wanted: The Crown Season 2

Queen Elizabeth in the Crown

The Crown Season 2

Grade: B+

The Crown apparently thinks its alright to mention Phillip going and getting drunk with the Queen Mum and Tommy Lascelles and not actually show us… Like come on! In a season fairly heavy on inner personal turmoil that’s the stuff I want to see!

October Wrap-Up: Appropriate Amounts of Halloween Candy

the witch

One of these days I’m going to have the appropriate amount of candy for handing out on Halloween. I swear I half want to do some neighborhood census in September. Like do you have kids? Will you be trick-or-treating past my house? Does anybody ever nail the correct amount needed?

I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Anyway we’re officially in November! Clocks change this weekend and it’s my favorite time of the year. Hoping my mood will improve with the time 🙂

A New Doctor Who, Good Omens & Aquaman

jodie whittaker as doctor who

After watching Doctor Who since 9 (Christopher Eccleston) and giving up sometime around the birth of Clara- who annoyed the hell out of me- it was so much fun to check out the new series and really enjoy it this Sunday!

Psychos & Family: September Recap

september recap

I’ve been looking forward to October to start my scary fun reading/viewing month but looking back on September it was a bit filled with psychos anyway. So maybe I got a head start?

September was also an extreme month…

Is it Hard to be Bad?

Killing Eve

Killing Eve

BBCAmerica

Grade: A-

Not if you practice.

I started watching Killing Eve just to check out Sandra Oh’s Emmy nominated performance and wound up with another television show I binged through. Granted there’s only eight episodes but still. For me whenever I finish a show that’s a plus!

Killing Eve is based on the Codename Villanelle books by Luke Jennings. The show was developed and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Germs, Television Wins & a lot of Books

august recap

I love getting to spend time with my nephew and since he started school I don’t see him as much but man every time I do I wind up sick. It’s as though sometimes when he’s hanging off me I can actually see the germs.

I think there’s something worse about summer colds. It’s like the whole world is so damned bright and you just want to crawl under the covers.
